  1. I agree with you. Its a tough position to be in. I am against ALL adoption. Even for foster care. There is NO reason a child needs to lose everything to gain a family.

    I dont know what the answer is. There are children in foster care for whom there is no hope of reunification with their first family. All children deserve a loving home.

    I just dont think they should lose their identity in the process. I can understand if there was abuse or neglect, but those children should have access to their records when they are 18, too.

  2. Children from foster care deserve to be adopted, and some of them need to have their identities wiped. I don't think that's the case with all foster care kids, but if they're old enough to have a voice, they should have the choice.

  3. oops, i've been on vacation.

    ave- i don't think any child needs to have his or her identity wiped. nobody deserves that, ever. maybe they need protection from someone. but to erase and replace a life? no.
