no, that's what i call her. well, actually i just call her my sister. of course i haven't met her, and i'm not sure if she knows i exist.
when you grow up without any blood relatives at all, there is no distinction to be made (in my mind) between adoptive family and step family. so i never really delineated a difference.
thus, my step siblings are my siblings and my half siblings are my siblings.
And what to call a biological father's other children with another mother..half-siblings doesn't quite do it?
